A group of musical artists playing all the sounds and classic hits of the fifties, sixties and seventies era of our specialty "Golden Oldies" rock and roll, classic rock, Blues, and Country. Live music at many of the New Jersey Shore and the surrounding suburban clubs, bars, restaurants and charity events like Breast Cancer Research from Wildwood to Philadelphia and the Tri County areas, "The Weekenders Band" would enjoy playing for your special event or engagement. A great way to relive past favorites from Billboards list throughout the musical chart toppers history of hits in our area tours. Whether your twenty one or sixty five you will surely have a great time with our selection of yours and our favorite sounds of the greatest.
The Weekenders Band consists of five South Jersey musicians all who love to listen and play oldies, classic rock, blues and country. This five member band has a long history of playing with renowned artists throughout their careers in their style of music, now coming together on the net for you to follow along and playing as a group Featuring "Thelma Porch" Lead Vocalist and Bass, "John Campbell" Lead Guitar and Vocals, "George Wolcott" Drums, "Mike Roman" Keyboards, and "Frankie J" on the Saxophone.
The band features great rock and roll tunes playlist's by a core of individuals who love the decades of music and the culture of all styles taking you back to you most precious memories and moments of good time, good friends and that special feeling you get from music that you grew up with and listened to on your radios or records, 8 track tapes and cassettes as the music scene grew more into today's technologies. Hi fidelity turned to quadraphonic sound, then to Dolby and now fully digital but the band live has that certain irresistible appeal that only live music can bring as you stop into one of our engagements to see and feel the music that takes you back to some of the best tunes of the ages.
 The Weekenders Band recreates the sounds of all these years in their live musical performances with the vibrant acoustics and mellow tones that are ageless when it comes to heartfelt glory of recorded hits and live music we all miss and cherish as we look back to our best of times in the era of sock hops, dances, and the Wildwood boardwalk days under the twilight and nightfall of neon signs lighting up while walking hand in hand on the Jersey shores. See one of our shows, you'll come back as the feel of the wind in your hair driving top down on the AC expressway with your favorite girl or friends, a trip into the Philly Burbs to listen to the harmonious lyrics, melodies and the original Philly sound that holds a special time and place where you first met or request a song that reminds you of the music you once loved and still do to this day.
